Service Description

Stand-up Paddleboarding Level 1 (1-Day Course) - Introduction to personal paddleboard equipment - How to wear a life jacket/buoyancy suit, introduction to paddles and stand-up paddleboards, types and use of footlines - Introduction to whistle signals - Single and double-person transport of stand-up paddleboards - Landing and mounting techniques (prone, kneeling, sitting) - Balance and standing techniques (prone, kneeling, sitting, standing) - Front and back paddle techniques and stopping - Standing paddle for at least 30 meters - Post-flipping procedures - How to remove and reattach footlines in the water, and swim to shore with paddleboard equipment (prone on the board). Stand-up Paddleboarding Level 2 (1-day course) - The impact of weather on stand-up paddleboarding - Understanding the International Canoe Federation Stand-up Paddleboarding Competition Rules (Chapter 10) - Safety precautions for stand-up paddleboarding - Sweeping and lateral paddling - Standing paddle for at least 50 meters - Paddle upwind (at least 50 meters, any posture) - Completing a triangular course - Dragging a tired paddleboard (at least 50 meters). *The above is a summary of the certificate course highlights. Please refer to the Hong Kong Canoe Federation website for details. *Please specify your certificate level when submitting your registration; as required by the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Federation, if the certificate duration is more than one day, please purchase an additional certificate course activity.
